Elvie Curve is a wearable, silicone breast pump for simple, hands-free expression. It uses natural suction to gently express milk during let-down while feeding or pumping from your other breast, or whenever your breasts feel full. Simply align your nipple and press the Pouch to create suction. Then do up your bra and continue hands free! You can press the Pouch again to keep the suction going for as long as you need, and release pressure by pressing the Valve when your session is finished.
Elvie Curve is one size fits all so there’s no need to worry about choosing a size. It has been tested with women of many different breast shapes and sizes for the best comfort and fit.
Elvie Curve can hold up to 4oz or 120ml of milk. There are markings on the back which let you see how much you have expressed at the end of your session.
How much milk you collect with Elvie Curve is a personal thing, as milk flow varies greatly between women. It can be impacted by where you are in your feeding journey, when you last fed and what you are doing at the time!
Elvie Curve can be worn in bra while feeding or pumping on your other breast, or whenever your breasts feel full. Once you’ve finished expressing, remove Elvie Curve and decant the milk into a suitable container. Please note: milk collected over extended periods of time and left at room temperature for too long should not be fed to your baby.
Elvie Curve has been designed with your comfort in mind. If the suction feels too high, lightly press the Valve at the top of the Pouch to release a small amount of pressure, as shown below. If the suction feels too low, re-squeeze the Pouch through your bra to generate more suction. We recommend squeezing the Pouch every couple of minutes to maintain a steady suction while you are using Elvie Curve, but you’ll learn what works best for you!
Elvie Curve comes in two parts – a Frame and a Pouch. The Frame is made from polypropylene, and the Pouch is made from food-grade silicone. Elvie Curve is dishwasher safe, BPA free and suitable for microwave, steam or cold water sterilization methods.
Elvie Curve uses natural suction, making it ideal for gently expressing milk during let-down while feeding or pumping on the other breast, or whenever your breasts feel full. Elvie Curve is especially useful for women who wish to gently express milk with minimal additional effort. Designed to be worn in-bra, it can be used without risk of being knocked off by your baby, and is small and compact, making it convenient solution for mother’s on-the-go or who travel. It can also be used on the other breast to a single Elvie Pump, giving you the freedom to move.
Elvie Curve is not designed to store milk. Once you have finished expressing, decant milk through the Nipple Hole into your preferred container to feed it to your baby or store it in a refrigerator.
Elvie Curve may feel different to other silicone breast pumps you have tried – it’s specifically designed to be comfortable and efficient. No two people are the same so some will feel the suction more than others.
You can use Elvie Curve with other Elvie products, for instance if you’re using Elvie Pump on one breast and want to use natural suction to gently express milk on the other breast, then Elvie Curve would be suitable.
We do not recommend wearing Elvie Curve while lying down, particularly not while sleeping. Movement during sleep may dislodge the product, and it should not be worn for extended periods of time after you have finished expressing.
Absolutely – Elvie Curve is designed to be used during your day to day activities without getting in the way. However, please do not use it while driving or operating heavy machinery.
When in use, Elvie Curve uses suction to create a seal with your breast, keeping your milk secure. We recommend squeezing the Pouch every couple of minutes to maintain a steady suction while you are using Elvie Curve, but you’ll learn what works best for you!
Be sure to keep an eye on the milk level to make sure it doesn’t overfill.
We always recommend you check with your health professional if you’re not sure whether one of our products is right for you.
Elvie Curve includes a Frame and a Pouch, and each play an important role for achieving a successful session – you should always use both parts. The Frame is used to protect the Pouch in your bra, preventing it from being compressed in the wrong places, or dislodged from your breast. It also helps to maintain the silhouette of the Elvie Curve.
The Pouch is used to create suction, capture milk and provide a measurement of how much has been collected.
How much milk you collect with Elvie Curve is a personal thing, as milk flow varies greatly between women. It can be impacted by where you are in your feeding journey, when you last fed and what you are doing at the time! n.b. Elvie Curve is a silicone breast pump – it uses natural suction to gently express milk during letdown, rather than an electronic mechanism like Elvie Pump.
